  • Can I still buy a ticket to FYF?

    General admission and VIP tickets go on sale at 12:00pm on Thursday, May 16th online and at various record stores and retail outlets in the greater Los Angeles area. Please check the ticket section of the site for more information.

  • Will I be able to upgrade my General Admission weekend pass to VIP?

    Yes, based on availability. Please contact Front Gate directly.

  • What time does the festival start?

    Gates open at 2:00pm and the festival starts at 2:30pm

  • What time does it end?

    12:00am each night

  • When will set times be released?

    We will be posting set times the week of the festival.

  • I am having issues ordering my tickets online – help!

  • WIll there be comedians this year at FYF Fest?

    Yes, we will be announcing the comedians performing at FYF Fest in mid June.

  • Will you have an iPhone application this year?

    Yes, to be available mid-summer on both iOS and Android.

  • Are there ins and outs?

    There are no ins and outs.

  • Can I bring my child?

    Yes, kids 10 years of age and under are free but need to be attended by an adult 18 or over at all times.

  • Will there be lockers on site?

    Yes! More information will be posted soon.

  • What are the food options?

    There are over a dozen different vendors that cater to all dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.

  • Is there free water?

    Bottle water is $2 but we have two hydration stations with multiple water fountains.

  • Can I bring an empty water bottle?

    Yes, empty water bottles are allowed in the festival.

  • Are there shade tents?

    Yes, there are a number of large shade tents and misters all over the park for your comfort. These areas will be located on the map in the festival guide.

  • Is there a Lost & Found?

    Yes, the Lost & Found booth is located near the entrance of the festival.

  • Is there bike parking?

    Yes, there is bike parking in the lot across the street from the park located in the parking lot on College & Spring.

  • Where is the best place to park?

    There are plenty of affordable parking lots located all over Chinatown and Downtown LA within walking distance of the festival.

  • Where is the best place to stay near the park?

    Please check out the Lodging Section on the left of this list.

  • ADA Accessibility?

    Yes, there is an ADA viewing platform for the main stage. For more information, select the ADA tab on the left

    ADA Access: For your transportation needs, LA Yellow Cab has wheelchair accessible vehicles available for your transportation needs. To request an accessible cab, please call LA Yellow Cab directly at (424) 222-2222.

  • What type of public transportation is available to FYF Fest?

    Gold Line, Chinatown Station drops you off directly in front of FYF Fest. Bus lines are also available. Metro is extending their hours for FYF Fest attendees.

    Taxi Magic, our official transportation sponsor is offering $10 off your first cab ride. Avoid the hassle of finding parking and take a cab; and for your convenience, there will be a taxi stand on site with cabs ready to take you back.

  • Are you hiring volunteers for the Festival?


  • I lost my ticket, what should I do?

    If you purchased your tickets online via Front Gate, please contact Front Gate’s customer service. They'll be able to assist you.

  • I bought my ticket at a record store and lost it, what should I do?

    Unfortunately, you'll have to purchase a new ticket to replace the lost one.

  • I'm a non-food vendor and/or a food vendor, are you taking any applications?

    If you're interested in becoming vendor please contact Sonya@fyffest.com.

  • Will there be first aid on site?

    Yes, medical stations will be clearly marked on the Festival guide.

  • What about bringing my medical prescriptions? (Asthma, insulin, etc)

    Before entering the Festival please make sure all of the medications are properly labeled with name, phone number and emergency contact. Names on prescriptions must match the persons ID. Notify a security guard at the entrance and the medical staff on site will assist you with storing your medications.

  • Will there be ATMs available?

    Yes, ATM’s will be available at various locations, please check the Festival guide day of show.

  • Will there be Wi-Fi?

    No. Please turn off your phone and enjoy the show.


FYF Festival is accessible to all guests with disabilities. During our festival the LA Historic Park will feature a designated wheelchair user and companion area, along with accessible portable restrooms and concession stands. Please know that every year we are continually upgrading these features, and we thank you for your continued participation and support.


If you require an accessible entry into the venue please proceed to the VIP entrance near the box office. The Access Center will also be set up near this gate entrance.


Please be advised that law enforcement WILL verify that each vehicle's ADA PLACARD or LICENSE PLATE corresponds with current DMV registration along with matching ID of the ADA patron inside the vehicle at the time of arrival. ADA parking will be located on College Street.


Animals are not allowed onto the festival grounds. An exception is made for patrons with service animals.


FYF Festival provides a wheelchair user and companion area at Main St. Stage. Please see the festival map or contact the nearest event staff worker. Access is limited and in order to gain access to the wheelchair and companion area you must obtain a wristband from the Access Center.

The “About” section of this site has been “Coming Soon” for the past five years. I planned to write something being that this will be the 10th year of festival but have once again waited until the last minute and didn’t get it done. This clip sums it up much better anyway.

A VIP Ticket gets you access to the festival each day and access to the VIP section, which is located in the center of the festival with viewing of the main stage. The area is a beer and liquor garden which acts as a great place to take a moment and chill, meet up with friends and to use as a convenient meeting spot at the fest. Please note you must be 21 years of age or older to enter this area and must pick up your VIP Wristband at will call. VIP's also have a separate entrance into FYF Fest and we offer VIP's priority will call access on August 22nd and 23rd as well as the days of the festival to get their VIPwristband ahead of time to avoid will call lines. There will be no single day VIP tickets, only weekend passes and only available online. You must have your VIP wristband and festival ticket to enter each day.

A Weekend VIP Pass is $199 and go on sale on Thursday, May 16th at 12:00pm
